Data controller
Ricardo Ernesto Castillo Mancera (“the Controller”), located at Dental de Mérida, C. 5ᴮ 322, Xcumpich, 97204 Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and other applicable rules.
Data we collect
- To book appointments and answer messages: name, phone number, email address and any information you choose to share by WhatsApp, phone, email or the form on this site.
- For clinical care: the identification and health data needed for your clinical record. Health data is sensitive data and is only processed with your express consent, which is obtained at the office.
The form on this site does not send or store information on the Controller's servers: it only prepares a message that you choose to send by WhatsApp.
Purposes
- To book, confirm and follow up on your appointments.
- To provide the dental services you request and keep your clinical record as required by Mexican health regulations (NOM-004-SSA3-2012).
- To issue tax invoices when you request them.
- To answer your questions and requests.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Automated WhatsApp assistant
Messages you send to our WhatsApp may be answered by an automated assistant powered by artificial intelligence, which answers general questions and records appointment requests; the doctor personally reviews and confirms every appointment and can step into any conversation. To do this, the text of your messages and your phone number are processed through Meta's WhatsApp Business platform, Anthropic's artificial intelligence service and Google Cloud (Firebase) servers, which act as processors on behalf of the Controller and do not use that data for their own purposes. The assistant does not ask for health information; please do not send sensitive medical information through this channel. If you prefer to talk to the doctor directly, just say so in the chat or call +52 990 101 1913.
Transfers
We do not transfer your data to third parties without your consent, except as provided by law or when required by a competent authority. When you contact us by WhatsApp or email, those services handle the information under their own policies.
Cookies and third-party services on this site
This site does not use analytics or tracking cookies. It is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google), which may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. The Google map only loads if you press “Show map here”.
Your rights (ARCO) and withdrawal of consent
You may access, rectify, cancel or object to the processing of your data, and withdraw your consent, by sending a request to dr.ricardocastillo@me.com with your name, a way to reply to you, an official ID and a clear description of your request. We will respond within the time limits set by law. Some clinical record data must be kept for the period required by health regulations.

Any changes will be posted on this page with their effective date.
